Radio stations serving Western Kenya broadcast in Swahili, English, Luhya, and Luo, providing a combination of regional news, agricultural market prices, music from the vibrant Benga and Ohangla traditions, and community programming for dispersed rural populations. The region's proximity to Uganda means some stations carry cross-border content relevant to traders and communities on both sides of the frontier.
